PHP into Sage Accounts Does Go!

PHP into Sage Accounts Does Go!

One of the most common integration requirements for most businesses is that of integrating the ‘Business System’ whether that’s a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, an Order Processing System or an E-Commerce Website with the company Financial System.

Despite the uprising flock of web based or ‘cloud’ accounting software offerings such as Xero, Freshbooks, Clearbooks and Kashflow; Sage 50 Accounts remains the default choice of accounting software for the majority of small to medium sized businesses in the UK.

As a business that develops ‘cloud’ software systems, the Hyperext team are massive fans of web based accounting software. (We actually use Xero to keep tight control of our own financials) But in our previous life as Bitopia we invested a lot of time and effort (and developer intelligence) in creating our own set of web services for Sage 50 Accounts… oh and we also did a lot with Sage 200 Financials Integration too!

Sage will tell you they don’t support PHP which seems incredibly shortsighted given the millions of software systems, web apps, mobile apps and e-commerce systems that are built in PHP.

The good news is that we are now putting our Sage Integration expertise on direct sale. If you’re a developer looking to integrate your PHP project with Sage 50 Accounts or Sage 200 Financials then please get in touch. We have web services for Pushing Sales Orders and Purchase Orders to Sage and Pulling Sales Invoices and Purchase Invoices and Credits amongst other things.
