Compare Shopify Sage 50 Integration Options

The definitive guide for UK Shopify merchants running Sage 50 Accounts

If you’re running Shopify alongside Sage 50 Accounts UK, you already know the problem: every order that lands in Shopify needs to land in Sage too. Do it manually and you’re burning time, risking mistakes, and fighting fires instead of running your business.

The good news is that several integration solutions exist. The less-good news is that choosing the wrong one can cost you months of frustration and thousands of pounds. This guide compares every serious provider in the UK market across the dimensions that actually matter: speed to go live, configuration depth, support quality, reliability in operation, pricing clarity, and — critically — what the pricing model is actually based on.

We’ve scored each provider out of 5 on six criteria and ranked them in an overall leaderboard at the end.

A note on transparency: This article is published by Hyperext, one of the providers reviewed below. We’ve done our best to be fair, and we’d encourage you to read every provider’s website before making a decision. Our scores are based on publicly available information at the time of writing (May 2026).

A Note on Scoring Methodology

When we set out to write this comparison, we committed to basing scores on verifiable third-party evidence wherever possible. After researching Google Reviews, Trustpilot, Capterra, and G2 for each provider, we have to be honest: most of these providers have limited meaningful public review footprint. This is common for niche B2B software — the buyers are businesses, not consumers, and they rarely leave public reviews.

Here is exactly what we found:

  • Hyperext — 5★ Google rating (55 reviews). No Trustpilot or Capterra listing found.
  • Red IT Solutions — No public reviews found on any platform. Facebook shows “not yet rated.”
  • Zynk — Average 4.5★ on Google (8 reviews). No other meaningful third-party reviews found on public platforms.
  • DataLink — Trustpilot average 2.3/5 across 9 reviews. No other meaningful third-party reviews found on public platforms.
  • Commercient — Mixed Capterra reviews exist.

Where Support and Reliability scores are based on self-reported website claims rather than independent evidence, we’ve noted this in each profile. We’ve applied a modest downward adjustment to scores that cannot be independently corroborated. Treat support and reliability scores as indicative rather than verified, and strongly consider requesting two or three customer references from any provider before committing — see our guidance at the end of this article.

The Criteria

Speed & Ease of Setup — How quickly can you go from purchase to live? Is the process self-serve or does the provider handle it for you?

Configuration Options — Can the integration handle your specific requirements: B2B accounts, multi-location stock, bespoke nominal code mapping, payout reconciliation?

Support Quality — When something goes wrong at 9am on a Monday, who answers and how fast? (See methodology note above.)

Reliability & Performance — How quickly does data move between systems? Real-time, near-real-time, or batch? What happens when Sage is closed or your PC is off? (See methodology note above.)

Pricing Transparency — Can you find the price on the website, or do you need a sales call to get a number?

UK Sage 50 Specialisation — Is Sage 50 UK this company’s core product, or one integration among hundreds?

The Providers

1. Hyperext — HyperShop

Website: hyperext.com

Primary value metric: Number of orders per month

Pricing model: Setup fee + monthly subscription

Hyperext was founded in 2013 and has built its entire business around one thing: Sage 50 Accounts integrations. HyperShop is the company’s Shopify connector, built on HyperAccounts — which Hyperext describes as the only real-time REST API for Sage 50 on the market. This architecture means orders drop into Sage in seconds rather than on a polling schedule, which matters at high volumes or when instant stock accuracy is critical.

Setup is fully done-for-you. Submit an enquiry, an account manager handles the configuration, and you’re typically live within a week. No technical knowledge is required on your side. The company is recommended by Sage and has been processing integrations for over a decade, with over 1 million API requests handled weekly across its customer base.

Pricing (ex VAT):

Plan Setup Fee Monthly Fee Annual Cost (excl. setup) Order Allowance
LITE £600 £95 £1,140 Up to 200/month
ADVANCED £900 £150 £1,800 Up to 1,000/month
PRO £1,200 £240 £2,880 Up to 3,000/month

Year-one all-in costs range from £1,740 (LITE) to £4,080 (PRO). ADVANCED adds B2B trade account support, product pricing updates, and a secure order dashboard. PRO adds Shopify Payouts imported as receipts into Sage — a feature no other provider publishes explicitly.

Support is UK-based, available 9am–5pm Mon–Fri by phone and email, with a self-serve ticketing portal available around the clock. The system is engineered to alert the Hyperext team automatically of any issues. One caveat worth noting honestly: if your business despatches orders around the clock and requires 24/7 emergency cover, standard office-hours support may not be sufficient. Hyperext flag this themselves on their website, which is a mark of straightforwardness.

Independent review evidence: 5★ Google rating (55 reviews). No Trustpilot or Capterra listing found. Support and Reliability scores below reflect the stated architecture and service model; they are not independently verified by third-party reviews.

Criterion Score Basis
Speed & Ease of Setup ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ~1 week, fully done-for-you
Configuration Options ⭐⭐⭐ Standard tiered plans; limited bespoke options
Support Quality ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ UK office hours (9-5, Mon-Fri), proactive monitoring — 55 Google 5★ reviews
Reliability & Performance ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Real-time REST API architecture; 1M+ API requests/week

UK Sage 50 Specialisation ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exclusive Sage 50 focus since 2013
Overall 27 / 30

Best for: Shopify Agencies, SMEs and growing retailers who want to be live quickly, pay a predictable monthly fee, and deal with a UK team that has built their entire business around Sage 50 integration.

2. Red IT Solutions — ShopifyExchange

Website: red-it.co.uk

Primary value metric: Flat annual licence (no published order limit)

Pricing model: Annual licence fee

Red IT Solutions has 25 years in the Sage ecosystem and is an approved Sage Tech Partner. ShopifyExchange is a Windows-installed application connecting Shopify to Sage 50 or Sage 200 (UK & Ireland editions). The solution is built around consultative customisation — you’ll book a free consultation, discuss requirements, and Red IT will configure the integration around your specific processes.

For businesses with non-standard workflows — mixed B2B/B2C, complex nominal code mapping, multi-warehouse requirements — this level of customisation is genuinely valuable. There’s also an optional feature to review data in Excel before loading to Sage, adding an extra layer of control. A 14-day free trial is available.

Pricing (ex VAT):

Plan Annual Fee Setup Fee Order Allowance
Standard From £1,500 Not published separately Not published

No tiered pricing is published. Customisation will carry additional costs not listed on the website.

Independent review evidence: No public reviews found on Google, Trustpilot, Capterra, or G2. Facebook shows “not yet rated, 0 reviews.” Support score has been adjusted down by one star to reflect the complete absence of independent verification, despite strong published credentials.

Criterion Score Basis
Speed & Ease of Setup ⭐⭐⭐ Consultation-led, Windows install, longer timeline
Configuration Options ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly customisable; Excel review option
Support Quality ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Self-reported: UK team, 25 years, Sage Platinum Partner — adjusted down; no independent reviews
Reliability & Performance ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Established, approved Sage developer, regular updates — self-reported
Pricing Transparency ⭐⭐⭐ Entry price published; full cost requires consultation
UK Sage 50 Specialisation ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strong Sage specialism; also covers Sage 200 and Xero
Overall 23 / 30

Best for: Businesses with complex or non-standard Sage configurations that need a highly customised, consultative solution and can accept a longer setup timeline.

3. Zynk Workflow

Website: zynk.com

Primary value metric: Number of sync types / data flows configured

Pricing model: One-time setup fee + annual licence (pricing not published)

Zynk is a Newcastle-based integration platform used by brands including Montane, Hype, and Stone Island. It connects over 100 systems — Sage 50, Sage 200, Shopify, Shopify Plus, ShipStation, WMS platforms, and more. The company holds Microsoft Certified Partner status and has received investment recognition from GP Bullhound. For businesses managing a complex multi-system stack, this breadth is a genuine differentiator.

The flip side of that breadth is complexity. Zynk’s Shopify–Sage 50 integration is implemented as a configured workflow rather than a plug-in, requiring more technical involvement and typically a longer setup period. Pricing is entirely quote-based.

Independent review evidence: Average 4.5★ on Google (8 reviews). No meaningful public reviews found on Trustpilot, Capterra, or G2. Reference customers are cited on Zynk’s own website. Support score has been adjusted down by one star to reflect the low number of independent public reviews.

Criterion Score Basis
Speed & Ease of Setup ⭐⭐⭐ Consultative platform-based setup, longer timeline
Configuration Options ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 100+ system connectors, highly flexible
Support Quality ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Self-reported: UK-based expert team — adjusted down; low number of reviews found
Reliability & Performance ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Established platform; Microsoft Certified; major brand references
Pricing Transparency ⭐⭐ No public pricing
UK Sage 50 Specialisation ⭐⭐⭐ One of many specialisms; not exclusive focus
Overall 21 / 30

Best for: Mid-market businesses running multiple platforms — WMS, CRM, Shopify — who need a single integration layer and have technical resource to support implementation.

4. DataLink

Website: datalinkuk.com

Primary value metric: Flat fee (quote-based beyond entry price)

Pricing model: From £395 (exact structure unclear)

DataLink is a London-based integration company offering a Shopify–Sage 50 connector covering order downloads, stock updates, product uploads, and customer database synchronisation. The website lists a starting price of £395, though whether this is a one-off licence or recurring fee is not clearly explained.

Independent review evidence: Trustpilot average 2.3 across 9 reviews. No other public reviews found. No published information on support hours, response times, or SLAs.

Criterion Score Basis
Speed & Ease of Setup ⭐⭐⭐ Self-configure after install
Configuration Options ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Standard options; custom dev available
Support Quality ⭐⭐⭐ London-based team; Trustpilot score of 2.3/5 over 9 reviews (small sample; 8 good 1 bad)
Reliability & Performance ⭐⭐⭐ Established product; limited public evidence
Pricing Transparency ⭐⭐ Entry price listed; full structure unclear
UK Sage 50 Specialisation ⭐⭐⭐ General Sage integrator
Overall 18 / 30

Best for: Businesses with standard requirements looking for a low entry cost, comfortable requesting a quote and self-configuring.

5. Commercient SYNC

Website: commercient.com

Primary value metric: Number of sync types (~$29/month per sync flow)

Pricing model: Platform licence from $99/month (~£79/month) + per-sync fees

Commercient is a US-based integration platform covering a wide range of ERPs and eCommerce systems including Sage 50 UK. The billing model is elastic: a platform fee plus individual sync flows each billed separately. A white-glove guided implementation option is available, alongside self-service. Near-real-time sync comes as a 90-day trial; ongoing pricing is on application.

The per-sync model means costs escalate as you add flows — orders, customers, products, stock, and fulfilment each billed separately. The platform requires more technical familiarity than a done-for-you connector.

Independent review evidence: Commercient is the only provider in this comparison with meaningful public Capterra review data. Reviews are largely positive, however one reviewer gave a negative review citing implementation difficulties and delays. Positive reviews note good real-time ERP visibility once the integration is running. The mixed picture, combined with US-based support, affects the scores. This is the only provider in this comparison where Support and Reliability scores are partially evidenced by independent reviews rather than self-reported claims alone.

Criterion Score Basis
Speed & Ease of Setup ⭐⭐ Self-service; steep learning curve; implementation delays in Capterra reviews
Configuration Options ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Flexible per-sync architecture; pre-built templates
Support Quality ⭐⭐⭐ Capterra: at least one negative experience; US-based team; timezone friction
Reliability & Performance ⭐⭐⭐ Positive reviews once running; but implementation failures noted; consistency uncertain
Pricing Transparency ⭐⭐⭐ Platform fee published; real total requires adding multiple per-sync fees
UK Sage 50 Specialisation Multi-ERP generalist; US-focused; Sage 50 UK is one of hundreds of connectors
Overall 16 / 30

Best for: Technically resourced businesses needing Sage 50 to also connect to a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot), comfortable managing a US-based self-service implementation.

Also Worth Noting: Stock2Shop

Although based in Capetown, South Africa, Stock2Shop offers a Sage 50 Accounts UK + Shopify integration with strong features including 3PL fulfilment loop automation. At the time of writing, the UK Sage 50 connector is listed as in beta with early-access sign-up. Until the product reaches general availability with a published pricing structure, it cannot be formally scored. Worth bookmarking if automated 3PL notification is central to your requirements.

Commercient SYNC Sync types (per flow) From ~£950/yr* From ~£950/yr*

*Commercient: Platform at $99/month (~£79) plus ~$29/month per sync type. A typical order + stock + customer setup ≈ $186/month (~£148). Prices in USD; GBP equivalent fluctuates.

What the value metric tells you:

  • Order-based billing (Hyperext) is predictable if your volumes are stable; cheaper per order as you grow within a tier.
  • Flat annual licence (Red IT) is unaffected by order volume — better value at high volumes; potentially over-priced at low volumes.
  • Per-sync billing (Commercient) starts accessible but adds up as you enable more data flows. Easy to underestimate the real cost at configuration time.
  • Bespoke/quote Zynk offers maximum flexibility but zero cost predictability up front.

Before You Buy: Ask for References

Given the limited public review data available for most providers in this market, we recommend asking any shortlisted provider for two or three recent customer references before committing — ideally a customer of similar size and order volume to your own, running the same version of Sage 50. Questions worth asking:

  • How long did setup actually take from payment to going live?
  • Have you experienced data sync failures, and how quickly were they resolved?
  • What is support response time like in practice?
  • Would you renew your contract?

Which Provider Is Right for You?

Choose Hyperext HyperShop if: You want to be live quickly with minimal technical involvement, you process up to 3,000 orders per month, pricing transparency matters, and you want a UK team that has built their entire business around Sage 50 integration.

Choose Red IT ShopifyExchange if: Your Sage 50 setup is complex, you need high customisation, and high order volumes make a flat annual licence more economical.

Choose Zynk Workflow if: You’re managing a multi-system landscape and want a single integration layer connecting Sage 50, your WMS, CRM, and Shopify — and you have technical resource to support implementation.

Choose DataLink if: You have standard requirements, you’re cost-sensitive, and you’re comfortable self-configuring.

Choose Commercient SYNC if: You also need Sage 50 to connect to a CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot, you have in-house technical resource, and you’re comfortable managing a US-based self-service implementation.
